Time to catch my breath

What a weekend!  It started with Sarah (my little sister) graduating college Friday at 9am.  I'm so glad she graduated during the Fall, b/c it was a short and sweet commencement. :o)  We were outta there in 1 hour, 15 minutes.  Getting out of the parking lot was another story.  I decided I would just sit in the van and feed Jonathan while I was waiting for all the crazy people to fight to get in line to get out.  We had Sarah's party that night.  Laura and I made 3 batches of fudge, 2 cheese balls, and countless pigs in a blanket.  I even started cooking the veggie soup for Saturday night.  We had a great time at Sarah's party.  I can't believe my baby sister is finished with school.... FINALLY!  I told Daddy to smile b/c tuition payments were over.
All day Saturday was spent trying to whip this place into shape for having the Hill family over for supper.  Who would have thought this place could get so bad after a week of me feeling bad?!  Oh my goodness!  My tree didn't get decorated, but I don't think anyone really cared.... except me.  We had tons of food!  I told Melissa that this was my last year hosting, but then when everyone got here, I started rethinking my decision.  I do love having everyone over... after I get all the prep work done.  I always feel like I don't have time to get everything done that I want.  I have almost come to the conclusion that no one really cares if there are a few toys/books laying around or dust on the mantle, just as long as they feel welcomed into our home.  The little boys room caught some of the toys and boxes of Goodwill donations, but it will be cleaned out this week so I can start painting the walls.  I would love to start getting all the cousins together here, so they can really get to know each other.  My kids are really close to Matthew, but I want them to be close to the others also.  I enjoyed the time that we got to spend w/ Mr. Rex here.  When he comes here, I'm not as uptight with the kids running around here like I am at his house.  If they break something here, no big deal.  I would feel horrible if they broke something there.
Sunday was spent relaxing for the most part.  It was too nasty outside to do anything else.  Jonathan still isn't feeling well, so he was a little cranky off and on all day.  Papa and Grandma ate lunch with us after church.  Papa played with JJ's helicopter that Matt Matt gave him for Christmas.  Daddy and Mama came over mid-afternoon.  Daddy needed Mike and Andrew's help to change some tires on their car.  I am so thankful for a husband and son who will help others in need.  Laura and the little ones started putting the ornaments on the tree.  We still have ornaments to put on the tree, and it is full already.  We haven't even picked out our ornaments for this year.  LOL  Laura said we need two trees... one for the girls, one for the boys.
Time to put my littlest man in bed.  He was in the baby swing and started wimpering, so Emily took him out.  When he started crying and she couldn't calm him, she gave him to me saying, "I think he is hungry.  You need to feed him."  I pray you have a week full of blessings from above.  Love ya bunches!

You could have stayed all night. I wouldn't have cared. I enjoyed the "after party" just spending time w/ you guys and Daddy & Deborah.
