The week's happenings...

This week has been a week full of running.  Monday, we spent part of the day eating at Papa Harold & Grandma Jean's for Memorial Day.  I did manage to get a couple loads of laundry washed, but that was about it.
Tuesday morning, I got up early and washed 2 loads of laundry.  Just when I was about to start getting ready to take Jonathan for his checkup, the phone rang.  It was Dr. Z's office calling to reschedule the checkup b/c it was a day too early for him to get shots.  They didn't want me to have to make two trips.  YAY!  So instead of taking Jonathan to the doctor, I made Andrew an appointment w/ Dr. H.  He had an infection going on around two of his fingernails.
Wednesday, Mike, the kids and I went to Hilton Head Island, to do a little shopping for camp.  Andrew and Laura leave Monday morning to go to Charleston, SC.  They are going to M-Fuge... church camp w/ an emphasis on mission work in the area.  They will be working their booties off all week.  Anyhoo, we did manage to find some clothes for the kids and had a great time.  It is so frustrating trying to find shorts for Laura.  We would have hit the mother load if we were looking for shorts that had been cut off at the zipper.  BUT, we don't let our girls dress that way.  Call us whatever you want, but our girls, our rules.  Mike and I have had a lot of discussions about this, and we agree that our girls will be dressed appropriately.  Off my soapbox now.
Thursday, Mike got up early and went to the 'Boro to pick up a log splitter.  Papa had cut down an oak tree right before we went on vacation in March.  Mike and Andrew had cut the tree up, but the wood was too hard to split with an ax.  Well, they worked their behinds off Thursday morning.  Emily and I took Jonathan for his checkup and shots.  He weighs 17 lbs, 4.5 oz, and is 27" long.  Mike took the log splitter back and visited his daddy, then met us at Buffalo's for lunch.  I was suppose to go get groceries afterwards, but it was raining.  I opted to wait another day.
The kiddos and I went BACK TO THE 'BORO today to find Andrew some shoes and to buy groceries.  We actually made great time considering we went to RackRoom Shoes, Maurices, JCPenney, Walmart, BiLo, Harveys, and Ellis Meats in 5 hours. :o)  We got home just minutes before Mike came home.  I think the little ones have loved the week of running, but I'm exhausted.  I guess some would consider me a "bad mommy" because I didn't take the kids to look at the toys today.  They don't get treats everytime we go to a store.  Bad habit that we never started.
Tomorrow brings a few more errands to run.  I forgot to take Andrew and Laura's memory cards from their cameras to put them on cds.  My computer is acting funky and won't burn a cd.  I also need a few things from Claxton.  Then, it will be time to tackle Mt. Washmore and help the kiddos pack for camp.  Sunday is mine and Mike's 17th wedding anniversary.  He has to work, so it will be just another Sunday around the Hill house.
Sorry to ramble.  I just knew I would be in trouble with Lissa if I didn't update my blog. :o)  So much I really want to get done, but time gets away from me.  I hope the little ones and I will get a chance to visit Aunt Lissa next week.  It will get us out of the house and help the time pass for the little ones.  They will be missing Andrew and Laura.  Love ya bunches!

Feeling your pain with the shorts thing... What's with the booty shorts everywhere. Some folks (like Mobleys & Hills) don't like their girls butts a hanging out just any ole way ~ Thanks for keeping us updated! It's not just Lissa that looks for ya ~

More energy?! Yeah right! I just do what has to be done, it has nothing to do with the amount of energy I have. I will call you this week Lissa to see what day is good for a visit. Luke has started asking "where's Matt Matt?" Oh my goodness, another Matt Matt addict.
