The most challenging yet the absolute most rewarding job I have been called to do...

is to be the mother to seven blessings from above.  It still blows my mind that God would trust me enough to let me care for them.  If you would have told me 17 years ago that I would be the mama to seven kids, I would have looked at you like you had a third eye.  Mike and I said two, maybe three.  I had always told Mama that she was crazy for having four.  Hmmm, who is the crazy one now?!  If having a large family makes one crazy, then I must be! :o)  I can't imagine my life without them.  Yes, a small army is very demanding and probably as tiring as you imagine it can be, but the endless hugs and kisses are so worth it.  Those early morning smiles of a small baby wanting to cuddle.  Those moments that your teenage son comes out of his room just a few minutes after midnight to be the first one to tell you Happy Mother's Day.  Those "just because" hugs you get from your teenage daughter.  Even those little mischievious grins from little ones when you are frustrated beyond words at something they have done or not done.
I am soooo not worthy to be their mommy.  They probably see me at my worst more than anyone... those stressed out days when NOTHING is going as it should, those times when I really want to stay in bed b/c I don't want to face the world, times when my patience is completely gone. BUT, they still love me.  They still say those sweet things like, "Mommy, you are the best mommy a kid could ever have."  They love me for me, even when I don't deserve it.  Amazing!!
My prayer for each of you mothers and myself is that we will live each day with the goal of living our lives to bring glory to God.  Each time others see us, they see God's amazing love.  May we each love our children with the same unconditional love they give to us.  Start each morning in prayer that God will lead us in ways to share His love with those around us.
Happy Mother's Day!  Love ya bunches!
