And another day begins...
It is so quiet right now. It is actually a little creepy. I'm the only one in the house that is stirring. I can almost here the house breathing a sigh of relief. LOL Today is our final soccer games. All three have games at noon. I'm going to MELT! I'm a little sad that the season is coming to a close, but then again, it is getting hot out there. This chick does not like to sweat. Now I don't mind getting out in my garden working, but just to sit outside in the heat is not something I can do for a long period of time. I might just have to venture down to the Moye "cool spot" and lounge under the umbrella. LOL
I finally got to watch the movie Taken. Besides the language in it, I really enjoyed the movie. As soon as I would get comfy to watch the movie, the phone would ring. Drove me nuts! Why does that happen?!
Mike has poison ivy now. He cut grass Thursday morning. Apparently, there is some in the branch behind the house. Of course, he didn't notice the rash until yesterday morning... AFTER HE HAD RUBBED HIS LEGS ON MINE ALL THURSDAY NIGHT! I am not going to be a happy camper if I get it. I don't want to have to take the meds to get rid of it with me being pregnant. And it will come to that, b/c OTC meds don't work for me. I told him last night that I was really tempted to sleep on the couch until his legs cleared up. He got home from work this morning and took a couple Benadryl. Maybe that will help him until he can see the doctor Monday. If it doesn't help, we will be in the E.R. getting him a shot.
The kids and I had supper w/ Papa Harold and Grandma Jean last night. Grandma called to see if we wanted to grill some chicken. Translation... Charity, I want grilled chicken and want you to grill it for me. LOL Papa & Grandma are already getting cucumbers from their garden, so she peeled and sliced a few of them. I think JJ ate most of them. The kid does not like a lot of be veggies, but he will eat his weight in cucumbers and carrots. He won't eat cooked peas, but will eat raw peas by the bucket full.
Luke is starting to let go while he is standing. He does it a lot when he is clapping. I am so not ready for him to walk. I have a sick feeling that he is going to try to start walking next week while Andrew and Laura are at camp and Mike is working nights. If he does, I'm gonna pinch his tiny hiney off.
Well, I must get up from here and go hang out some jeans on the clothes line... b/c Aunt Charity does old fashioned things like that. I also have to work on the budget, so I can cash a check before the soccer game. I want to get my groceries before Andrew and Laura go to camp, if possible. Love y'all bunches!

That task is complete.....
The camp shopping is complete. YAY! There were no major fights. Only one minor disagreement w/ Andrew over a pair of shorts that I thought he would like, b/c they looked a lot like the cargo shorts he was wearing yesterday. Hello, what was I thinking?! How could I make such a mistake?! Anyhoo, the next pair of shorts I let him see, he liked.... not much difference from the first pair. **eye roll** He did manage to find a couple pair of the plaid shorts that he liked. He found one pair that he loved, but the smallest size we could find was a 28 waist, and he needs a 26. I have to share that Andrew is considerate about money. We went into Aeropostle to see what they had before we went to JCPenney. While in JCPenney, we found a couple pairs of plaid shorts but couldn't find shirts to match. We knew there were some at Aeropostle that would match perfectly, so we decided to go back there to get them. While we were walking back to the store, Andrew informed me that he would be paying for the clothes that we bought from there. He bought himself 3 shirts.
Laura found some really cute outfits too. We couldn't find a light pink shirt to go with a pair of plaid shorts, but she did get a white shirt that she could wear w/ them. I'm sure if we dig enough in her closet, we will find a light pink shirt. Some of the pants cuts are still lower than I would prefer, but the shirt lengths are long and will cover the difference nicely. She isn't one to try to show off her tummy. I think she is a little self-conscious about her "battle scars" from surgeries at a month and 3 years old. We had to do the bra shopping thing, which drove Andrew and JJ crazy. The boys stood out in the aisle and entertained themselves.
Okay, I know you want to know what JJ done to make the day interesting. Before we ever left the house, he had us laughing. While we were getting dressed, JJ comes running through the house yelling, "Move! I have to poop!" He had gone to one bathroom that was occupied, and was making a mad dash to the other bathroom. Then while we were in JCPenney, we saw a black guy that had an interesting hairdo. The sides and back were shaved with hair only on the top of his head. The hair was brushed straight up and was standing up at least 4". Andrew had seen him as we were walking through the store. Wouldn't you know it... he was in the section that we had to go to. What was JJ's reaction?! "Hey look, that guy has his hair done like a rooster!" I grabbed his mouth and told him to keep quiet. But you know what, the guy's hair did look like a rooster!
We went to pick Mike up from work a few minutes before 4pm. When we got there, he was still up on a huge ship. The kids got to see their daddy at work. He waved to them from the bow of the vessel. Bekah said, "Daddy on dat big boat!" They watched him as he was lowed by a crane in a "basket" and were totally amazed. I think the ship was from China. He comes in contact w/ so many people from around the world.
We had supper at Cheddars over near the airport. Then we went to Walmart. Oh my goodness, I was completely exhausted by the time we left. My legs were killing me. I didn't have to tell the little ones to go to bed when we got home. I took a nice warm bath and then crashed on the couch for a couple hours.
Mike is home today. He is outside mowing the lawn. I am washing new clothes and getting things ready to pack. The kids are doing their schoolwork, then it will be out to the garden to do a little weeding.

Gonna be a busy day...
Okay, I am up and moving too early this morning. I didn't go to sleep until late. I was washing and drying clothes, then got interesting in a couple programs on channel 9 (PBS). At 1:30am, I heard Luke fussing, so I went to bed. He was sleeping w/ his daddy. Yes, he was in our bed, but I put him there so he wouldn't be crying while Mike was trying to sleep. Luke usually cries for a few minutes before he goes to sleep.
JJ is like a caged tiger. He hasn't had much outside time again. I'm thinking I may have to sit at the little play area in the mall today to let him get out some of this energy. If not, I'm afraid I will have to super glue is bottom to the seat of a stroller. LOL
We will be heading to SAV in a bit. Andrew and Laura need some clothes for camp. They leave Monday, so my time is running a little short. Andrew is going to Wild Adventures with a friend on Friday. (For some reason, I don't think Andrew will be playing soccer at his peak performance Saturday morning.) Andrew is so picky about his clothes. I think I would rather have a root canal than to take him shopping some days. Laura will be a breeze. We will pick up Mike from work this afternoon, then go out to eat for supper. Yay, I won't have to cook tonight after a long day of shopping.
Well, I guess I need to go see how much hot water the boys left me. I'm sure it isn't enough to get a shower. Love to all!

Another day w/ the Hillians...
Yesterday was a nice relaxing day. Mike was home from work... YAY!!! I rode with him over to Statesboro early in the morning. On the way home, he decided to rent a few movies in Claxton. I had a couple hours all to myself while they were watching movies. How nice! We did get a shower of rain about the time the grill was ready to put the ribs on it. Mike is such a sweetie. Although I told him I would be fine, he got the big umbrella out of the van to hold over me while I flipped the ribs and added the bbq sauce. Or maybe... he just didn't want the seasonings to get washed off the ribs. LOL Either way, he kept me partially dry. The kids always love it when Daddy is home, b/c he is another kid.
I did manage to clean Leo's tank. YUCK!!! How can one little turtle make the water so nasty?! He wash happy to be back safely in his aquarium after an hour of the little ones shaking the bowl he was in.
Bekah took a late nap, so she was up LATE. I think she finally went to sleep on the couch somewhere between 1:30 and 2am. Needless to say, I'm drinking my coffee for a little pick me up.
Now off to wash laundry!

And the fun just keeps going...
This morning was a relaxing morning at home, since the soccer games were cancelled due to the weather. I can't say that I was really disappointed, b/c I was in need of a slow morning. I am loving this rain, b/c it means that I don't have to drag water hoses & sprinklers around the garden. I do miss the fact that JJ hasn't had any outside time this week. He may get to play outside in the rain tomorrow afternoon, if the weather isn't bad. We BOTH need his outside time.
This afternoon, we went to a birthday party. It was a planned water party. B/c the weather wasn't bad and the kids were gonna be wet anyway from the rain, they let the kids play on the water slide, slip & slide, etc. What does JJ do? He jumps from the top of the waterslide into the little pool at the bottom. I told him not to do it again. Next time up, he jumps even higher and further. Needless to say, he got to sit out the rest of the party. Bekah didn't want to play in the water. She was still sleepy from her night w/ Honey, Granny, and BooBoo (Aunt Sarah). Daddy said he thinks she went to see sometime between 1 & 2am. Emily loved the water. She played on the slide for a while, until she found the sandbox.
Andrew and Laura will be leaving in a little over a week for church camp. They are going to Cleveland, TN. They were a little disappointed that the youth group wasn't going to M-Fuge this year, but they are excited to be getting away for a week. I'm wondering if there is a summer camp for parents. LOL
Well, it is time to get the Hillians to bed. Mike is sleeping.. working 4am to 4pm shift. His alarm will be sounding at 2am. If I can get the little ones to sleep, I don't have to worry about how well Mike is sleeping.
Until later.... Love you all bunches!

Just an update
It has been a relatively calm week. It must have something to do with the weather. JJ hasn't been into much. He is walking around the house singing, "No, we're not gonna take i t... we're not gonna take it... we're not gonna take it anymore." He has seen a commercial advertising collection of 90s hard rock songs. Of course, he picks the song by Twisted Sister to sing to me. I'm wondering if he is trying to give me a hint.
Bekah got into the nail polish again yesterday while Laura was getting a shower. I was making supper, Andrew was in his room getting dressed, and Mike was busy doing something else. Bekah was quiet, so JJ went to look for her. He comes running, "Bekah has Laura's nail stuff!" Again, she didn't spill it anywhere; but she did manage to get it on her cheek and nose.

Bekah playing peek-a-boo...
Look what we saw yesterday......
Laura went with me to my doctor's appointment. We decided we would do our grocery shopping after the appointment. I had an ultrasound to check on a bleed that I had earlier in the pregnancy. It is still there, but smaller. They will do another ultrasound in 3 weeks to see if it is gone.
Laura called home to tell the kids that we were having a boy. She told Andrew to give the phone to Emi. Emi's reply was, "Are you serious?! Laura, are you really serious?" And then we heard a little huff. LOL She asked Andrew a while later if Laura was really serious about us having another boy. JJ wanted to know what the baby's name is. He asked me last night what he should call the baby.

Just a quick one...
We put the little kids to bed and then settled down to watch CSI New York. Andrew was playing a game on the computer and must have gotten up to go to the bathroom. He yelled, "Bekah is painting her nails!" We thought she had gotten into Laura's nail polish, but she hadn't. I have a shelf in the hallway cabinet that I keep gifts. She had gotten into the cabinet and opened one of the packs w/ nail polish. She didn't get it on the floor, only ALL over her toes. Just when I thought I would relax for the rest of the evening!

And the madness continues...
I can't really pinpoint why I have felt so antsy today. Guess I should blame it on the pregnancy hormones. The morning was uneventful, nothing really sticking out in my mind to blog about. This afternoon, I noticed two checks on the island that I was suppose to deposit for Mike today. That meant a mad rush to the bank before it closed. Came home and let the little ones place outside to run off some energy. Luke took a short nap, but it wasn't enough. Now he is a hornet, and my nerves are on ends.
Mike and I got the radishes and more zipper peas planted this afternoon. He is in the garden watering them now. I will be so glad when it is all ready to start picking. There is nothing better than fresh picked veggies. JJ loves eating the raw peas, so at least I won't have to worry about him feeding them to Bekah.
Mike took Andrew and Laura to church earlier for their youth group. Bekah was not happy to be left behind. I had to drag her in the house screaming. I had changed Luke's 5th dirty diaper and had used Desitin on him. I just put the tube on the coffee table for the next diaper change. When I saw Bekah curled up on the couch later, I really didn't think much about it. I just thought she was still upset about being left and had decided to pout on the couch. Nope! I told her to get up so she wouldn't fall asleep so late in the afternoon. She ran bopping through the kitchen with a nice WHITE face and arms. She had used the Desitin as lotion!!!!!! This isn't the creamy Desitin. This is the thick, can't hardly wash off with soap and water Desitin. I wiped as much as I could with a wet wipe so she couldn't get it all over the furniture. I will get the rest of it off during her bath.

Our crazy life...
Last Monday, May 4, I had enough of our dialup connection, so I had it shut off. Oh my goodness, I can't believe I finally done it. I had had enough w/ the connection probs. I started calling around about getting satellite internet. On Friday, I called Wild Blue and ordered service through them. The installation was set for the 15th. The satellite arrived yesterday afternoon. The guy called this morning to ask if I wanted the satellite installed today... of course I said yes! It is so nice to be back online.
Andrew and I were able to get our veggie plants in the garden yesterday. I'm hoping to get more started in containers this week. I have to get my radishes planted soon. I'm ready for a little "heat" in my salads. There are little tomatoes on our bushes. Andrew and Emi will be circling them like buzzards on road kill.
Tonight at the end of supper, Rebekah got up from the table b/c she was finished eating. JJ was suppose to be eating his peas. I looked over at him b/c he had gotten up and walked over to Rebekah. What was he doing?! Feeding his peas to Bekah!!! He hasn't learned to eat his peas like Matt Matt... put them in your mouth, take a drink of tea or kool-aid, and swallow them whole. LOL Needless to say, JJ got another spoonful of peas, and he did eat them then.

Finally back!!!
We are finally back online after a week of no service. We cut off our dialup service last Monday, and our Wild Blue service was connected today. YAY!!! We won't know how to act w/ faster connection. Time to get ready for soccer practice.

Yay! It's Friday!!!!
I didn't think Friday would ever get here this week. I have felt on edge all week. I'm thinking it must be the hormones messing with me. Mike will be heading back to Savannah in an hour or so to do a couple more a/c jobs. I told him I would break his legs if he plans something tomorrow. He and Andrew worked in Savannah doing a/c jobs on Monday and Tuesday. I need my man home for a couple days. I miss him.
I found out why JJ was quiet yesterday. He had a red crayon and was drawing on my van seats. Mike took the back row of seats out of the van when we went to Iowa. He has been so busy since we got home that he hasn't put them back in. I think I got all the marks out with carpet cleaner. I just saved JJ's butt from the wrath of "Kingdaddy."
Luke still had fever last night. He woke up a few times during the night. When Mike got home from work at 5am, he put Luke in our bed. grrrrrrrr! Right now, he is crawling around and playing.
Andrew and Laura have a soccer game tonight at church. It is the youth versus the adults. It should be interesting. As long as Luke doesn't have fever, I will go watch. The kids have their regular soccer games tomorrow.
Well, time to go water my seedlings.
